Sound Factory Orchestra
In the beginning, there were regular academic classes. In 2010, when a group of students made a decision- we are changing the sign and we will continue. This "continue" runs on to this day, and a large group of artists has already passed through the orchestra. Some people come back after years. It is not a full-time ensemble and the whole is one big crazy, organizational improvisation. That is why it is a band different from all the others and nothing is impossible for it, unless someone turns off the lights.
The orchestra usually consists of a dozen or so members, but in special situations the ensemble has been extended to the size of a symphony orchestra. SFO has performed in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland, often organizing her own performances. The group has performed several dozen world premieres of new works and recorded a lot. SFO cooperate closely with the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, the Computer Composition Studio of AMKL, artists from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, Wrocław Technology Park and foreign centers of new music in Germany and Slovakia.

International Sound Factory
Supporting young artists and performers is an important task. Therefore, thanks to the financial support of the City of Wrocław, it was possible to create a platform to perform new works by composers associated with Dresden, Essen and Wrocław. Every year, these cities host concerts presenting new compositions written especially for this occasion.
The International Sound Factory is open. Other centers can join it, which we are constantly working on. The pieces are performed by the Sound Factory Orchestra. The Orchestra also collaborates with the Computer Composition Studio and artists associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. -
The orchestra as a model of a perfect enterprise
The essence of the project is to recognize the fact that the orchestra is very much like a company. Although it only produces sounds, the processes that take place inside the team are a great study of the relationships between members of a specific organization, regardless of form, status or range.
A musician here, an employee there, sections here, departments there, managers as concertmasters and soloists, and the CEO as a conductor. And during the classes there is an extraordinary experience of being among the musicians or conducting an orchestra using a real baton. -
Sine scientia ars nihil est
It is a series of concerts in which we try to combine the achievements of science, music technologies and achievements in the field of musical and visual arts into projects with a high degree of originality, creativity and, which should be emphasized, risk. It is a kind of laboratory where everyone has an open door, provided that they want to propose something with a high degree of originality and have a great will to develop their skills as well as team and creative competences.
So far, the series has been carried out in the form of a festival aimed at students, but we are currently working on a new formula with a wider scope. -
TechNoOrchestra
Once a string orchestra, and today a dormant initiative awaiting an impulse to resume activity. The Sound Factory Orchestra was created on its basis. Contrary to SFO, TNO's artistic line is more personal, with a specific, individual aesthetic and interdisciplinary character. Today it is a project that assumes an artistic counterbalance to pop culture, with the use of new media and artistic sophistication.
